Hey Mariah,
I just wanted to extend an extra thank you to you guys, Kate/Ashley did an excellent job looking after our cat, and we just appreciate it so much! I can't believe we were gone almost 2 full weeks and she (& the apartment) were totally fine! I half expected the kitty to go crazy and maybe damage furniture or something from the stress, but having you guys come visit really kept her sane, it makes all the difference in the world.
Thanks again for the excellent service!

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I am really happy with your service so far and I just wanted to say that I think Justin is great. I really love the notes that he leaves after walking Chewy (they always crack me up) and I am sure that Chewy loves going on walks with him.
Thanks again,
Jessica (Chewy's mom)

Hi Jen/ Mariah,
After three years in Brooklyn (one for Shannon), we've decided to move to Seattle to be closer to my sisters and parents (and their dogs!).
Your well trained walkers and excellent customer service made Shannon's transition into my life very smooth one. Thank you for always responding quickly to my questions and concerns. Knowing that Shannon was well taken care of and loved throughout the work day and on overnight stays was a great comfort to me. Thank you again.
If you ever need a reference for your services, please consider me.

Dear friends at Mobile Mutts,
After much deliberation and 5 great years in NYC, we have decided to relocate to Raleigh NC, where many of our dearest friends and family reside. Edith joined us for our trip down here to look at houses (we're all here now) and my husband's parents have graciously offered to host Edith in their home until we move. As such, she won't be joining us for the return trip to NYC, but instead she will enjoy the springtime at their home, on a big piece of lakefront property. Although we are sad that she will miss our final months in NYC, we know that she's going to be elated to be outdoors, swimming and going on long walks.
We have been so thrilled with our 4-year relationship with Mobile Mutts, and we will not think twice to refer your services to anyone who asks. Please let David know that Edie will miss him and that he has been a great help to us during these first few months with the baby - he provided Edie with the activity that we couldn't give her in the early days of parenthood. We have always been so impressed with your professionalism and kindness and we will miss our Brooklyn dog community.
Best to all of you,
Alicia & Jon Stephens, and Edith, who will be too busy enjoying the great outdoors to email you herself

Hi,
I meant to respond to this email a lot earlier...but I wanted to say thank you again for the great job you do with Marley and Ebony. I know we are all much happier since having you in our lives. And it is very, very clear that you care about the pets and their owners - that is incredibly nice and selfless of you to not increase rates right now.
As far as any issues with Marley's walks, I have none. He is very easy flexible with time slots in the afternoon, so don't worry if you need to come earlier or later in the day.
Thanks again,
Cory (Marley and Ebony's mom)

Hello!
Thank you all for taking such good care of Chloe and Tyler while I was away. I came home Sunday after being away for three weeks and they were both happy and healthy. I was glad to read on the daily notes that they both finally came of hiding for some attention and that after all this time Steve finally got a chance to see Tyler!
Being away for so long worried me but I felt much better knowing your team was looking after them. I really appreciated the email updates.
Thanks again!

Dear Mobile Mutts,
We would like to thank you and the people who came by and looked after our cats (Brandon, Mariah and Albert) . The notes that they left behind were very detailed and funny (some of them even had little illustrative drawings!). We really appreciate your service and look forward to using your excellent services again in the new year. Thanks again and have a great 2010!!
All the best,

Hi Mobile Mutts!
Albert James did a FANTASTIC job taking care of our kitty Fiona. He left the cutest notes and called us a few times to let us know how she was doing. It made being away from her so much easier knowing he was there for her. I was wondering if you could send me the total charges for his visits so I can be sure we've budgeted the cost appropriately. I know you all won't charge us till the 1st, but just want to be prepared. Thanks again for sending us a wonderful sitter and I hope you and everyone at Mobile Mutts has a great new year!
Kind Regards
Jessica (Fiona's mom)

Hi Mariah, thanks for the invite. I thought maybe we told you but perhaps not- we moved to Riverdale in the Bronx in July. Were sad to leave the neighborhood but had to be closer to my wife's new job. We also miss Mobile Mutts, you guys were so reliable and great and we've recommended you to friends in the neighborhood. It took us a while to find a dog walker that we like up here, and we definitely didn't take you guys for granted!!
All the best,

Hi Jen,
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know how pleased we've been with your company and with Alex in particular. We are always met with a wonderful, detailed note each time Alex walks Jackson, and Jackson is in good spirits. We also are always met with a rapid and thorough response from our booking e-mails. As busy, working people with irregular schedules and often last-minute needs, it is very comforting for us to know that Jackson is in good and reliable hands each time we're unable to walk him.
Many thanks for this!

Hi Mobile Mutts team,
I just want to thank you so much for the wonderful service we received from your sitter Annie. The notes with the breakdown of the services was wonderful and a great touch. We will definitely use you again the next time we are out of town.

Dear Mobile Mutts and Annie,
I cant tell you how much I love my squishy Christmas penguin. When I saw my mom unwrap it, I got so excited and started to jump up and down. I love to hold it between my paws and bite on the hat and then shake it from side to side as hard as I can. My mom hasn't given me the bones yet and is saving them for Christmas. I can't wait!!
I also wanted to say happy holidays to my walker Annie. I hope that I have been a good doggie. I have enjoyed the walks with her soooo much! Maybe one day my mom will be able to meet you.
Lots of licks,
Lomi

Mobile Mutts,
We wanted to say thanks, on behalf of our pug Dakota, for the nice surprise of wonderful holiday toys that we received yesterday. Dakota is very happy with her new Zanies plush dog toy and plush snow man.
We also wanted to let you know that we are pleased with the progress she has made with Laura as her dogwalker. She has begun to consistently do her business outside now with Laura and I am sure is also enjoying the socialization with the other pets.
Happy holidays!

Hi Jen-
Thanks for thinking of us and having Joe fill in this week, since our walking needs are daily while Doug is out of town. You guys always have really great people to walk binah, in all of the various neighborhoods we've been living in, and there have been many. We are really happy with the service you guys are providing and I know Binah LOVES her walks since I've been home a few times when her dog-walker has come to pick her up and she's pretty much jumping out of her skin.
Thanks,
Langley

Keep it up and looking forward to using you in 2009! Sasha sends her love too :)

Hi Team Mobile Mutts.
Thanks for a great year of taking such good care of Enzo and the Kit - the notes made my days brighter, and the calls when Enzo limped or the door was jammed or any of the other small gestures that you guys really go the extra mile (no pun intended) were always appreciated.
Happy Holidays!
Jenna

I thought I would take a moment to let you know that Alex is really terrific - the dogs seem to love him, he is responsible and accommodating, and his notes are very amusing. I appreciate that he takes the time to note anything which might be significant, and keeps me updated on anything I have mentioned to him. I never think twice when I know he will be walking the guys.
Thanks and have a wonderful holiday!

I have been meaning to mention something about Laura. She is by far the sweetest and most considerate walker that we have had the pleasure of dealing with. Without going into details I thought you all should know that it has been my experience that she has high morals and a lot of integrity. It has been a pleasure having her as Duke’s walker!!

Hey Jen and Keith,
Thanks for the card. I was just telling some friends that part of what made
it possible for Jake to go on as long as she did as well off as she was
until the end was you guys. As frail as Jake got in the past few months, I
completely trusted David, Michael and the other walkers to take good care of
her. You really do seem to run a service that derives entirely from love of
the dogs - that was continuously evident in all of your interactions with
both the dogs and their owners. Thank you so much for helping take care of
Jake -- in the daily walks as well as when you let her stay with you when I
traveled -- over the past years. I'll always appreciate it.
Best,
Dave

Jen,
Thanks for the notice last month regarding Mariah’s promotion and Ruth’s introduction. Coincidentally, I was contemplating emailing you just a few days earlier to share that Mariah provided exceptional service to us one day last month when we had a second walk scheduled for Edith. On the few occasions when we’ve had late walks in the past, I’ve left a note asking for Mariah to feed Edie after her second walk, with a one-serving baggie of food set out for that purpose. I completely forgot to leave the note or the food one day, and Mariah kindly fed Edie, refreshed her water, and made sure that she was all set for the evening before leaving despite my oversight. It was such a relief when I got home super late from work that night to find that Edie was totally content and settled in. Mariah is fantastic and clearly she’s made an impression across the board. While she’s no longer our walker, I still thought it would be good to pass along the positive feedback.
Ruth is great as well and we really appreciate the extra detail she provides about Edith’s afternoon adventures.
Thanks,
Alicia

Hi Jen,
I have to say that I am very impressed. Not only did you respond to my email quickly, you knew what was going on with Noodle's walk schedule immediately and in detail.
I have also been very impressed with the 'Daily Poop' logs that Dimitry has been leaving for us. If there are any changes in Noodle's demeanor or bodily functions, he always lets us know. He also leaves us notes about Noodle's normal day-to-day behavior, so that we know what he is like when he walks with Dimitry. This most recent note regarding the suggestion to walk Noodle in a later time slot shows that he is paying close attention to Noodle's needs and what is best for him.
The point that you brought up regarding moving him to the later time slot, in case we are ever running late at work, is a very good point. I spoke with Robert about it, and we agreed that it would be a good idea to try the later time slot out for a while and see how he does. He seems to be well adjusted to walking with Dimitry now (I think the frozen peanut butter filled kong was a hit!).
Thank you for all of your help!

Jen, Joe and Crew,
We were very, very happy with your service over Thanksgiving weekend - it was our first time using you - I enjoyed meeting Steve and we appreciated the little notes that the cat sitter left for us each visit along with the checklist of items checked. We will be using you again in the future - I am planning my Jan travel right now so will be back in touch regarding our needs for George and Teddy.
Thanks so much -

Jen,
Just wanted to say our sincerest thanks for all of your help and assistance with our wedding*. Laura was absolutely terrific - so sweet to work with, so professional, and overall just the biggest help! Our day truly would have been so much more difficult without her there. Thank you so much for all of your help setting this up, as always you guys make things so easy!
We had a little thank you card for Laura, that of course in all the craziness yesterday we forgot to leave it for her!! We are leaving tomorrow for Aruba, but did not want to wait a week to give it to her. We will be leaving a card with our doorman downstairs - if possible, would any of your walkers in the neighborhood on Monday (Steve or anyone else) be able to stop by and pick it up? We'd definitely appreciate it, we don't want a week to go by without being able to thank her.
Anyway, thanks again for EVERYTHING.
Rhonda
*We handled their dog at their wedding. This is a service we are able to provide for our regular dog walking clients.

Thanks
so much!! We have used a lot of different services since
Huddie was born and I really want to tell you, that you
guys are (by far) the easiest and most trusted company we
have worked with. All of your walkers are great (and leave
very amusing notes)! I always know that Huddie is getting
his full 1/2 hour walk b/c he hasn't chewed up the couch
cushions since we started with you guys. And my neighbors
have given good reports as well. I also want to mention
that the payment process couldn't be any easier. With some
of the other services, payments were always getting crossed
with bills in the mail and so I never knew where we stood
and sometimes overpaid. It was a huge hassle!
Anyway, I've been meaning to tell you guys for a while that
I really appreciate all of your great service! Thanks again
for all your help!

Hi.

Hi.
Just a quick note of thanks for taking such good care of
Finn (the cat) while I was away. I can tell by the tone
of the notes you left that you and Finn got along famously!
I was so glad to hear it-- he is notorious for being standoffish
with new people but obviously he was comfortable with you!
He was so relaxed and happy when I got home, and the apartment
was in great shape.
Thanks so much!!

Dear Julie, Jen, Keith and the entire Mobile Mutts team,
This note is certainly long over due... I just want you all to know that everyday I am thrilled knowing Kaya is so well cared for. But like most people, I fail to express my gratitude and appreciation. And like most businesses, you probably never hear the praise. I know. Being a business owner myself, no news, is good news.
When I moved to Brooklyn (Cobble Hill) in 2003, my business was taking off which meant more time in Manhattan. Kaya was 10 years old at the time, and as you all know by now, she's a little high maintenance. :) She's lovable and sweet, but it takes time for her to warm up to some people... especially her K9 friends. And she can be darn stubborn!
When I first met with Julie and Keith, I was impressed with your knowledge, compassion and professionalism. Kaya has been in good hands ever since. And when we moved to Prospect Height last year, you made sure she was taken care of. As she gets older (12 years +) you have been sensitive and conscious to her needs...and that gives me peace of mind knowing she is so well cared for when I am working.
I had the pleasure of meeting Dominic late this afternoon when I came home early. And was so happy to meet one of the dog walkers behind the "Daily Poop" musings. The first thing I do when I walk in the door is read the report on Kaya's walks. They always bring a smile to my face.
So thank you SO MUCH for doing such an amazing job. The animals you care for are blessed to have you in their lives. And so are we.
Sincerely,
Cathleen

I was
a recent client of Mobile Mutts and would recommend their
services highly to anyone with a beloved pet. My
dog Sadie was already 16.5 when I lost my last dogwalker,
and the Mobile Mutts team came to our rescue. They established
a new route in Prospect Heights, and spent a great deal
of time getting to know Sadie and the ins and outs of walking
a very geriatric dog. They were all very knowledgeable
and caring, and always left me detailed reports about how
the day had gone, and how she was faring. They also
always ensured coverage, by sending another member of the
team when one was unavailable, which was a huge plus from
my perspective.
Given her age and limited mobility over the last few months,
this certainly required patience and a good deal of kindness
on their part. It was, in large measure, having this experienced
team on hand that made it possible for both Sadie and I
to enjoy her last 6 months without the constant worry that
she might fall or hurt herself when I was not around. If
you are seeking reliable, conscientious and caring help
you should make Mobile Mutts your first call.

Hi
Julie.
I just wanted to tell you how awesome Genevieve is- I love
getting her notes about her walks with Cody. Please thank
her for me for walking Cody for an hour today. I know he
really loved it...
I'm loving Mobile Mutts- working so much, it's nice to know
that my dog is being well cared for.
Thanks again!
Take care,

Dear Jen,
I am writing in reference to Harris Klahr.
As you know, Harris has walked our dog Norman for some time
now, and we could not be happier with the arrangement. Harris
is extremely dependable, trustworthy, friendly, and most
importantly, takes great care of our little guy (who can
be a little bit high maintenance at times!). Harris walks
several dogs that live in our building; all of the dogs
and their owners would no doubt give the same glowing review.
Perhaps best of all, Harris has a great sense of humor,
and his daily notes about his time with Norman and the other
dogs are absolutely hilarious.
We have no hesitation in recommending Harris to any potential
clients that you may have. Feel free to have them call us
if they would like to discuss further.
Best,
Melanie and Raphael

Hey Jen –
Both Frannie and I love Harris! The few times I was actually home when he was there I was so pleased to see how happy Frannie was to see him and she went right up to him and started licking his hand. Harris leaves great notes and from them I can tell he understands his dogs and know their quirks and how best they interact. He alerts me to any weird behavior on Frannie’s part, which helps me better understand her (and I need a lot of help with that!) He’s the one who told me she had a particular talent for catching treats! I had no idea.
Anyway, I can’t say enough good things about Harris.

I cannot
tell you how happy I am, not only with the service you provide,
but with the quality of people you have working for you.
Last Monday Matt had come by to meet me and Tallie. Then
on Friday, I actually worked from home, but kept our appointment
because I wanted to meet Mike as well. Tallie was so happy
to see him, it made me jealous and happy at the same time.
He is sooooooo good with her!!! So thank you for everything!!!

To whom it might concern,
I cannot recommend Mobile Mutts highly enough. My fiance and I adopted a boston terrier in November 2004. Mobile Mutts has been with us all the way. Before Randy was old enough to go outside for walks, Mobile Mutts would come over once or twice a day to play with him and keep him company. Then, once he was old enough to go out, Mobile Mutts would take him out- first by himself and then gradually with other dogs.
In many ways, Mobile Mutts is more responsible for socializing Randy than my fiance and I. For instance, Randy was not a good walker when he was young. Like many bostons, Randy is extremely headstrong and often (especially in cold weather) resisted walking past our front steps. Jen and her team suggested walking Randy with a few other dogs in an attempt to teach him by example. Mobile Mutts took special care in the dogs they paired Randy with and, low and behold, before too long he was walking us!
Throughout all this, my fiance and I never missed a thing because Mobile Mutts would document everything in "The Daily Poop." Speaking of which, anyone who uses Mobile Mutts will confirm that coming home to "The Daily Poop" beats a check in the mail. We so look forward to reading all that Randy did on any given day- chasing birds and plastic bags, playing with Hannah and Diego, causing a commotion on the street...we don't feel so badly missing it because we can come home and read about it.
More important than anything else though, Jen and the Mobile Mutts team are responsible, trust-worthy, reliable and they love our dog ALMOST as much as we do! We really wouldn't feel like we were treating Randy right without the help from Mobile Mutts. They are irreplaceable.
Sincerely,
Sara and Bob

My friends and family are sick of hearing me say this, so I might as well offer it up to a group of total strangers: I love Jen and Keith, my Mobile Mutts dog-walkers. "How big a difference can a dog-walker possibly make in your life?" inquire those who don't have pets or who think they can handle their canine responsibilities all on their own. Well, huge.
Jen and Keith enable me to stay employed, for instance. I am a single woman, and it takes me a good 35-40 minutes to travel between my office and apartment. When I first began my job in New York, I tried rushing home at lunch every day to let my two dogs out for a quick break, but simple math will tell anyone that a one-hour lunch break is inadequate for such a trip, and that it was only a matter of time before such extended absences would cause me to lose my job.
My dog-walkers also keep me informed about my dogs' health and happiness. "Skippy's poop was a little runny today," says a note from Jen when I arrive home from work one evening. Good to know-and since Skippy tends to be a once-a-day pooper, this is information I might otherwise have missed. So I make an appointment with my vet and get Skippy the antibiotics he needs; subsequent notes from Jen let me know that the drugs have done the trick-no more loose poop.
Jen and Keith keep my dogs safe. I have two greyhounds, both ex-racers who were not properly socialized as puppies, and their social ineptitude makes them occasionally anxious and aggressive with other dogs. On the rare occasions when friends have walked my dogs as a favor, I have sat by the phone awaiting the call to say that Skippy has eaten someone's Yorkie, or that Abby got into a tussle with a German Shepherd and needs fifteen stitches, because friends-let's face it-tend to do stupid things. "Oh, look!" I can hear them coo to Skippy and Abby as they approach a pug and its owner on the street, "let's go say hi to this cute little doggie..." Let's just say that Jen and Keith know better. From the very first meeting, they were exacting in their questions about my dogs' behavior, so I know that they have the dog-sense to avoid bad situations or to deal with them when they do arise.
Most importantly, my dog-walkers make my dogs-and me!-so happy. "Great seeing these two again," says a note from Keith after a long weekend, "I missed them. We had a good walk today!" And I can tell from the smiley yawns and wagging tails of my dogs that the three of them did, indeed, have a good walk. This, in turn, makes me exquisitely happy-for, as any dog-parent knows, there is nothing more guilt-inducing than coming home to anxious, desperate, unhappy pooches, and nothing better than being greeted with a gentle kiss from a contented dog.
Best,
Laura

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing on behalf of Jen Marter, Keith Gladysz and Mobile Mutts Dog Walking Service. Jen and Keith have been walking my dog twice a week for 3 months, and I have been very pleased with their service. They are very responsible and reliable. They are good about keeping me updated by leaving notes everytime they walk my dog. They have communicated all billing issues very clearly and promptly. They have been flexible and responsive to my scheduling needs. Most importantly, I can tell that they really love my dog and care for him like their own.
I highly recommend Mobile Mutts and am happy to answer any further questions.
Sincerely,

Having utilized a few different dog walking services over the years, I was very happy to find out that Monster Mutt had started offering dog walking. (I have used Monster Mutt's various services, i.e. dog training and day care in the past).
I have a dog with fear issues, and Jen has been able to manage this problem quite well. Jen has been extremely conscientious, on time, and I feel that she really has my dog's best interest at heart. I have to say that with Jen walking my dog, I don't worry about her at all when I'm away from home. I haven't felt this comfortable with a service in a long time.

Janice
Hello,
For the last month and a half Jen has been taking care of
our puppy, Vela. During this time Jen proved to be reliable
and responsible.
Jen has been coming at the requested times, feeding Vela and helping us to clean up the little messes Vela leaves behind. Jen also has been great at giving us feedback and calling us with any questions or concerns. It is also apparent that Jen loves dogs which is very important to us. We definitely learned to trust Jen and will continue to rely on her services.
